03 - Farmhouse near Ravi

The Farmhouse  is located in the old mining area of Ravi, which is a part of the mine parks of Gavorrano. In the past the various buildings of the farm were structures of the pyrite mine. The main house, Casa del Direttore, was the residence of the director of the mine.  Casetta della Guardia, Casetta dello Spaccio and Casetta delle Mele were used for several purposes, as storage and guardian houses. These buildings have all been rebuilt and renovated. The estate was completely renovated, conserving the original materials. 

The philosophy that inspires the farm is the respect for the ecosystem and sustainability. The entire area has recently been the subject of a reclamation intervention that has returned the land to their productivity. .

The farm, in fact, hosts some typical species of the Maremma, from Cinta Senese pig, to Maremma cattle, to some goats, particularly loved by children who come to visit us. The farm also uses 100% renewable sources to produce energy, covering the energy needs with photovoltaic panels and solar thermal panels.

Price List

The respective municipalities are free to introduce a tourist tax (Tassa di soggiorno). This tax varies from municipality to municipality, as well as the amount and duration of the stay. We can not give any binding information. The amount is paid directly to the owner in cash.
